Hi Mona Leigh, For our first visit to WDW, I am planning to do 5 CDs (Chef Mickey, Be Our Guest, Cinderella's RT, 'Ohana, Hollywood & Vine). Would you recommend those or other options? We have two girls - 3 and 6. Also is that too much? :)

    Hi Jin Ha,

Character dining at Walt Disney World is a great way to meet characters without having to wait in lines. Since your girls are young, this is an excellent strategy. By meeting the characters while you eat, you can skip the lines for the characters later in the theme parks. You are planning a lot of character dining; however, if you are doing one per day, this could work very well. I recommend no more than one character dining per day as more than one would be a lot of time sitting in restaurants on one day. Let's take a look at your plans.

At Chef Mickey's, you will be able to meet Mickey Mouse and his pals in their chef gear. At Cinderella's Royal table, you will meet the Disney Princesses. At 'Ohana, you will meet Lilo and Stitch as well as other characters, but only at breakfast, so do be sure that you have a breakfast reservation at this restaurant if you are interested in character dining. Also, at Hollywood & Vine, you have a choice to make. For breakfast, this restaurant features Disney Junior Play 'n Dine, at which children get to dance and play with Disney Junior characters. The evening features Minnie's Seasonal Dining, which includes Minnie Mouse and her friends celebrating seasonal holidays. Finally, do note that Be Our Guest Restaurant is a deeply immersive environment and is beautiful and magical, but is not character dining in the traditional sense. I think that you have chosen a nice range of character dining experiences because you are going to meet different sets of characters at each. Please do note that character appearances are subject to change. If you have not yet done so, be sure to make reservations for your character dining experiences at Walt Disney World. These are popular and tend to book up early.

Please let us know if you have any further questions, Jin Ha!
