Hi Mona Leigh - We are pulling our kids from school for a DW trip and their teachers would like them to keep a journal/scrapbook to share when they get back. Our local Disney store had few options. Is this something easy to find at DW? Thanks

    Hi Kara,

Many teachers do request that children keep journals while on vacation if they are missing school. There are many options for you to find unique journals for this purpose. My fellow Disney Parks Moms Panelists Raquel, Sherri, Angie and Stephanie had many great ideas for where you can find these.

There are many places that you can find journals at Walt Disney World. Many of the stores at Walt Disney World, even at the resorts, sell journals or small notebooks that would work well as journals. In the parks, especially the larger stores such as the Emporium on Main Street in Magic Kingdom Park sell journals and/or small notebooks.

Buying the journals at Walt Disney World will certainly be convenient, but might be a little more expensive.  Here are a couple of ideas for less costly journals. I have had luck finding Disney-themed office supplies at my local Target. My daughter bought a Mickey Mouse notebook there for her uncle for the holidays this year! You could also consider buying a plain notebook and some Disney stickers to allow your children to personalize their journals. That way each child can make the journal unique.

Finally, there is a website where you can print out journal pages for your children. Go to www.themouseforless.com.  Once there, search "journal".  There is a link for kids travel journals which will take you to a page with many downloadable journal pages. These pages are templates for your children to record their vacation memories. You can chose the ones that are relevant to your kids, print them out, and put them together to create their own personal journal of their trip to Walt Disney World. They even have a link with suggestions of how to bind the pages together into a journal.

Whichever solution you choose, I'm sure your children will enjoy recording their vacation memories from Walt Disney World. Have a great vacation!
