Hi Moms! Where to stay with 7 yo boy and girl in Sept? Normally stay at poly and love it but nervous that construction won't be finished by then. We are looking for convenience and amenities. Stayed at BC in May and didn't like distance to parks. Thanks

    Hi Tiffini!

Thank you for reaching out to the Disney Parks Moms Panel with your question. I am happy to help!

Construction at Disney's Polynesian Village Resort is scheduled to be ongoing throughout 2015. However, many of the resort refurbishments, such as Capt. Cook's and Pineapple Lanai, are already completed. The Great Ceremonial House lobby and the Nanea Volcano Pool are scheduled to be completed in early 2015. So, I would think that you would only be minimally disrupted by the construction in September. Feel free to check the website for updates as you finalize your decision though.

Disney's Contemporary Resort and Disney's Grand Floridian Resort & Spa are both conveniently located near Magic Kingdom Park and boast tons of amenities. The monorail transportation is a wonderful convenience when traveling to Magic Kingdom or Epcot. Both of these resorts have awesome pools with slides and a kids splash area that your children are sure to enjoy. Disney's Wilderness Lodge is just a short boat ride away from Magic Kingdom and also offers a variety of amenities. Your son and daughter might enjoy the bunk bed optional room. I know my children love bunk beds!

I hope this helps you make your decision. Feel free to visit us again if you have any more questions.

    Happy planning!
