Hi Sara,
I absolutely love Disney's Beach Club Resort! It is my favorite. My Mom and sister-in-law each used an ECV (Electric Conveyance Vehicle) during our last Walt Disney World vacation a few months ago. I want to assure you that the Walt Disney World Resort bus transportation system easily accommodates wheelchairs and ECV's. When traveling to the Magic Kingdom and Animal Kingdom from
Disney's Beach Club Resort, you will head out to the bus stop and wait for the bus designated for whichever park you are planning on visiting. Guests traveling with wheelchairs or ECV's are the first to board the bus to ensure that there is room. The driver will lower a ramp near the back half of the bus and you will simply drive your ECV right on board. Your family will board with you, right after your ECV is locked into place. When you arrive at the parks, you will be the last to disembark. Just sit tight and wait for the bus driver to lower the ramp again and you'll be on your way to a fun filled day in the parks.
I do want to note that if you rent your ECV directly from Disney, those are not permitted to be removed from the park in which they were rented. However, there are several local Disney featured companies which will bring the scooter to your resort for the length of your stay. We found this option to be very convenient as the ECV's were needed at the resorts as well.
I hope this helps and that you have a wonderful vacation. Please do not hesitate to send me a follow-up question if you need further assistance.
