    Hi Moms, We have reservations on 12/31/09 at the Crystal Palace at 7:00pm but would like to spend most of that day in AK trying to avoid the crowds. I am worried that we will not be able to get into the MK late in the day. Will this be a problem?

    Hi Debbie! Unfortunately New Years Eve can often be the Magic Kingdom's busiest day of the year and they often have to close the park due to capacity.  There is often no warning when this happens and many guests can be left out and disappointed.  I would suggest you forgo the Animal Kingdom park that day and just head to the Magic Kingdom with the idea that you might not do a lot of attractions but instead just enjoy the many various entertainment options throughout the park that day.

    Check with your resort concierges and guest services about this dilemma.  They can change rules and regulations every year with regards to park capacity.  Some years you were allowed back into a park if you had entered earlier on that day.  If this is the rule and you have a park hopper pass then you could head to the Magic Kingdom and then over to the Animal Kingdom park before returning back to the Magic Kingdom.  I am not comfortable suggesting this is going to be the case, however.  I would rather be safe then sorry and hunker down in the park for the day!
