Hi Moms, We are planning on traveling to WDW in 2015, we will have two sons 16 and 11 with us. What is your recommended WDW moderate resort when we were there six years ago we stayed at the Caribbean beach and we were all not fans! Thanks!

    Hi Jeverlie,

Thanks for for visiting the Disney Parks Moms Panel! My favorite moderate resorts are Port Orleans French Quarter and Port Orleans Riverside. The French Quarter resort is the smallest at Walt Disney World, which makes it very appealing. It has a good food court, though not a table service restaurant, and a fun pool.

The adjacent Riverside resort has more dining and recreation options, which might be advantageous for your family. It is larger, but I don't find the size unmanageable. (Caribbean Beach is too spread out for my taste).

One fun thing about both resorts is that you can take a water taxi to Downtown Disney from there. They are also a short bus ride away from all the theme parks.

My family has stayed at Coronado Springs twice this year, and we like that resort, too, especially the size of the rooms. But for theme, amenities and convenience, the Port Orleans resorts still top our list.

I hope that helps. Please let me know if I can do anything else to assist as you make your plans. Enjoy!
