Hi Moms, We are planning to go to Disney next year during the first weekend of January for the WDW Marathon. My question is will the Christmas decorations still be up? Thank you

    Denise:

My husband was there for the Marathon Weekend just a few weeks ago and said that many of the larger decorations, like the giant decorated trees, were still up in the parks. However, many of the lobby decorations in the resorts, including the gingerbread houses at The Contemporary and the Grand Floridian were already down when they arrived on Thursday preceeding the weekend.

It varies from year to year, and I'm only going on what happened this year, but I think you'll still be able to enjoy some of the decorations even though they're officially slated to come down before the Marathon Weekend.

    Wishing y'all a magical vacation!

My family of 6 appreciates Disney's value! Although Ft. Wilderness is our second home, we've enjoyed the resorts for business, reunions and romantic getaways. For me, Disney also means dining: last count, I'd eaten at 55 restaurants around the World! Learn More About Whitney
