Hello Moms! We are planning our first trip to WDW for March. We are military and planning to use the offer where my husband will get in free and then pay for myself and son. When we get these tickets it is ok to book out hotel off Disney? Thanks!

    Hi Crystal,

How great that you can take advantage of Disney's Armed Forces Salute!  It's a wonderful program. To answer your question - yes.  You can certainly chose to stay off property if that works best for your family and still make use of the discounted and free (for your husband) park tickets.

Part of this special program includes very significant discounts on various resorts on Disney property.  You may want to check to see if you can secure better rates on property and take advantage of some of the "on-property perks", such as Magical Express, Extra Magic Hours and Disney Transportation to the theme parks.  To get additional details, including pricing, contact the ITT office on your husband's base or visit

    Have wonderful trip!
