Hi Debra!
I love fall at the Walt Disney World Resort and all of the special events they hold during that time of year. One of our family's favorites is
Mickey's Not-So-Scary Halloween Party! We have gone several times throughout the years and have a blast every time. You and your granddaughter are going to love it!
We have never experienced the event to feel too crowded, even when visiting during a 'sold out' night. There are certain "rare" characters who visit with Guests during the party and their lines do tend to get a little long, but the lines for attractions and trick-or-treating are very manageable. Mickey's Not-So-Scary Halloween Party is a hard ticket event, meaning Guests must purchase a separate ticket to attend the fun. As soon as the party begins, Cast Members start checking for wristbands and ushering those without one towards the exit. We attended just a few weeks ago and I can tell you from experience, not only were they checking for wristbands at the attractions and trick-or-treat lines, but also at the entrances to the different lands, at restaurants and at shops. It would be fairly difficult to stick around for very long without a proper ticket and wristband.
Make sure you take time to view Mickey's Boo-To-You Parade and the HalloWishes fireworks. They are incredible and easily my favorite specialty shows. Also, the event usually runs until midnight and as the night progresses the crowds become lighter as well. We like to stay to the end, so I always make sure to take it easy the day of. Have a bootiful time and please let me know if there is anything else I may assist you with.
Magical Wishes,
Lauren
