hello moms.we are driving to Disney this December and staying at pofq..would it be time saver to drive to parks vs taking Disney bus.also reservations at both cape may & 1900 park fare(drive or bus ? ) thanks

    Hi, John!

Oh, lucky you!  I just love Port Orleans French Quarter!  You are in for a real treat staying here.  Make sure to stop by the bakery and try the fresh, made to order Beignets. Simply delicious!

My family always has a car.  Here is what we do for driving VS. the bus:

-To Magic Kingdom, ALWAYS the bus!  The bus will drop you at the front gates.  Driving will put you at the Transportation and Ticket Center and will take you much more time.

-To all other parks, we drive.  (I am not a bus person, so it is nice to just hop in your car!)

-To Downtown Disney, take the very fun boat transportation from the docks at French Quarter.  A real perk of staying at your resort!

-Any meal at a resort is easiest to get to by car.  Otherwise, count on multiple transfers.  Parking at a resort or theme park is free for Disney Resort guests.  (Valet parking is an additional fee.)

If you have any other transportation or resort questions, just let me know! I will be happy to help you plan your magical WDW vacation.

Meet the Panelist: Cathy, Ohio

Hi, I'm Cathy from Cleveland. I love to travel, especially in the winter to escape the snow and cold of Ohio! My husband and 2 kids share my enthusiasm for travel, so we enjoy our adventures together whether it is hiking at a National Park, sailing on a Disney Cruise Ship, or going to Walt Disney World which is our home away from home. My husband proposed to me in front of Cinderella Castle and we have not stopped visiting ever since! It's a blast helping guests here at planDisney!
