Hi Moms, We have booked to come March 2015, We have the Regular Dining Plan, please can you help. I am totally lost and not sure what to do or how to sort out our meals. We are stopping for 14 days and plan on doing a different theme park every other day.

    Hi Clare,

We appreciate you stopping by the Moms Panel to ask your question. I'm so excited to help you with your vacation planning today.

The Disney Dining Plan is such a great amenity for Walt Disney World Resort guests. While it is an amazing addition to your vacation, I can understand how you may be overwhelmed. There are so many factors to think about! While I wouldn't dare tell you where to use your credits (that will all depend on your family's diet, cuisine preferences, and more), I will say that our family has learned to pay attention to the snack credits! These gems are constantly forgotten about and they can be used to purchase food items that suffice as breakfast, and even a light lunch at times. By using your snack credits to their full advantage, you'll be able to allot your Quick Service and Table Service credits without stressing out.

Also, think of your Dining Plan as a collection of all credits, rather than using a certain amount of credits per day. If you are using the Dining Plan for all 14 days of your trip, view your credits as 14 Table Service, 14 Quick Service and 14 snacks per person. Then, work backwards from there, assigning credits to the meals you choose. For example, 2 Table Service credits for dinner at Cinderella's Royal Table on your 3rd night will be subtracted from your total credits. Then, you'll know that one of your vacation days will be a day where you use 2 Quick Service credits for your meals. You'll feel so much more relaxed about using your plan if you try not to use up 1 snack credit, 1 Quick Service credit and 1 Table Service credit each day. Remember: this is your vacation. Use your amenities as you see fit!

I hope this answer helps, Clare. If you would like specific Advanced Dining Reservation recommendations, or have any other questions, feel free to ask me at any time.

    Have a fantastical Disney day!
