Hi Moms, travelling to POR on 10/29/14(party of 5)with a 6yr old who has autism & need a room close to amenities. If possible we would like to know what room has been allocated to us so we can prepare him with his surroundings etc how would we do this? t

    Hi Lisa,

Disney does not assign rooms and release their numbers until they are ready for occupancy. That being said, you can request that they send you a text message with your room number once it is ready. You can head to the Port Orleans Riverside resort when you arrive and take care of all of the paperwork then head to the park. A Cast Member can text you with your room number. When you check in, be sure to explain your situation and your need for a room close to the amenities. They should be able to show you the approximate location of your assigned room on a resort map at that time. You can then walk to the general area to show your son before heading to the park. They usually will not tell you the exact room number just in case something ends up changing due to unforeseen circumstances.

I hope this helps and that you have a wonderful vacation,
