Hi Moms, Planning a"once in a life-time"trip to WDW for Jan '16. Dd's will be 5 yrs10m + 8yrs11m. Is the LO too young? We're not really into rides. Thinking of staying at PO Riverside. Is 14 days too long?

    Hi Helen,

You really are a woman after my own heart. Planning a Walt Disney World trip a year and a half in advance is such a wonderful idea. Lots of time to research, and ask as many questions as you can here on the Moms Panel, right?

Your little princess will be the perfect age to enjoy all that Walt Disney World has to offer. From toddlers to preschoolers, and much older, all children are able to have a magical time. There are so many shows, events and meet-and-greets that will offer her lifetime memories, and she'll never have to step onto an attraction. For more information on Walt Disney World experiences that she will love, be sure to check out this page on the Walt Disney World website: Planning for Preschool Kids and Little Ones.

Since you are planning to stay for 14 days, I think it's most important that you take full advantage of the Walt Disney Resort hotel accommodations. Most Walt Disney World Resorts are like a vacation within themselves, full of wonderful restaurants, family activities and more. You could even decide to spend time at one resort for the first 7 days, then change up your venue by checking in to another resort for the duration of your trip.

Also, Downtown Disney would be a great addition to your vacation planning. From AMC Movies at Downtown Disney, to DisneyQuest Indoor Interactive Theme Park and Splitsville Luxury Lanes, you can make even more family memories.

I hope this information was helpful for you, Helen. If you have any other questions, please feel free to ask at any time. We're always here to help.

    Have a fantastical Disney day!
