Hi moms, My family and I will be taking a trip to WDW from Feb 18- Feb 24. What kind of crowd level should we be prepared for? I have done some online research and I keep stumbling across a Princess Marathon, will this make an impact of the crowd level?

Hi Michael!  Every guest is always trying to figure out what the crowd level will be for the parks. Over the years it has gotten harder and harder to predict with more kids being home schooled or in year round programs.  In general Presidents weekend will see an increase in crowds. This can vary from average to most crowded in a given park on a given day. This year the Princess Marathon will be held the weekend of February 24-26 which is on the tail end of your trip.  Those coming for the race will not directly affect the crowd levels much but they often do bring families and being that it is President's week where children are often off from school this can add to the crowds. To say it won't would not be fair.

The big word for you is to prepare. Have advanced dining reservations, know the park hours, know which park will have Extra Magic Hours during your stay, and know the lay-out of the parks and the location of all the attractions you don't want to miss. Many guests waste so much time not doing their homework and land on Main Street with a map in hand and their heads swimming wondering what to do next. Be aware of which attractions use Fast Passes and understand the use of those as it will make your day in the park so much more fun for the family.

I have had some of the best vacations during busy times so I don't avoid them but embrace them and enjoy all that is happening around me!
