hi moms in 2013 i was in wdw and have a dining plan. i want to go back next year also with a dining plan, but this time i travel alone so my question is if you dine alone is the tip you gif to the waiters the same if you dine with 2 ? belgium greetin

Hi Edwin! Welcome back to the Disney Parks Moms Panel!

I love traveling solo to the Walt Disney World Resort. When I travel solo, I love that I can take in the sights and sounds at my own pace. I can eat when I want, ride when I want, and watch any and all of the entertainment that I want. I notice that when I travel alone, I see so many things I have overlooked in the past. There are plenty of hidden details that are easily overlooked when you are traveling with family and friends.

When dining at a sit down restaurant if you are a party of less than six people, your gratuity is not automatically added on to your bill. On your bill, there will be “suggested gratuities” however it is up to you to tip what you feel is appropriate! I have always tipped based off of the suggested 18% gratuity because I have always had excellent service. One of my favorite restaurants to dine at is 'Ohana at Disney's Polynesian Village Resort. In my opinion the food is fantastic and I love the atmosphere.

Remember, when planning for dining, dining reservations are highly recommended. You can start reserving your dining 180 days before you arrive for the length of your stay.

I hope that you have a fabulous time during your solo adventure, and don’t forget to stop and take a photo with Mickey Mouse!
