Hi Moms, I'm 18 years old and my boyfriend and I are trying to plan a trip to Walt Disney World Resort in Florida. We're trying to do a budget trip. How would we go about this with four adults?

Hi Michelle!  There are several different ways to cut your costs and still have an amazing Disney World vacation.

I am a big proponent of staying on property for all the extra perks it brings such as the Extra Magic Hours in the parks, free transportation throughout the property, and Magical Express from the airport.  To find the best resort at the lowest price check out each of the Value Resorts that are offered.

You will find two double beds in each room allowing four adult occupancy in each.  These resorts all have pools and quick service food courts and are all themed and decorated in the wonderful Disney way. You will likely spend most of your time in the parks so spending more money on a room is often not necessary.

You can save on park tickets by not buying the Park Hopper option.  That will mean you need to plan each day carefully as you will not be able to go to more then one park unless you use another day on your ticket pass.  There are many things to do outside the parks that you can fill in your time with including Downtown Disney, Wide World of Sports, and many recreation opportunities.

Consider purchasing a dining plan when you book your room.  There are several different ones offered including one that only allows for quick service dining. Review them all and consider your needs before committing to a plan.

Your lodging, tickets, and food incorporate the most money when considering a vacation and Disney offers great choices for their guests to make everyone find something within their budget.
