Hi Moms! I'm planning our May vacation and trying to avoid some of the crowds. My first instinct was to visit the parks with extended hours on those days. Do those parks tend to be busier on "extended hour" days? Maybe I should avoid them on

Howdy Janet!  Your instincts are great!  If you are staying on Disney property at select Walt Disney World Resort hotels you can take advantage of Extra Magic Hours and make the most of your vacation.

Extra Magic Hours make for a much less crowded Theme Park.  While not all of the attractions are open during Extra Magic Hours, you should be able to enjoy the more popular ones.

Prior to becoming parents we took full advantage of Extra Magic Hours whenever possible.  If we were at a Theme Park during the early Extra Magic Hours, we would typically leave in the afternoon once the Park started to get crowded.  From there we would either return to our resort hotel or use our Park Hopper Pass to visit one of the other Theme Parks.  The evening Extra Magic Hours were always great and we were able to do so much.  Just pace yourselves so that you can fully enjoy each day.

Thanks so much for your question!  Please let me know if you need any further information as you plan your May trip.  We were at Walt Disney World in May of last year and had a great time.  It was hot and a bit crowded but we were at Disney World and it was magical!!
