    Hi Mom's I'm excited about the new Magic Bands! My husband and I are taking the grand kids to WDW for Christmas 2014, I'm wondering if it is possible to buy each child a gift card and tie it to their Magic Band so they can charge their own souvenirs?

    Hi Julie! There is nothing more magical then a Christmas vacation at Walt Disney World! When you see the Magic Kingdom castle lit up for the first time or feel the snow falling on Main Street you just know you are in a very special place.

    The new technology is being tested at the moment in the parks and resorts. As the days, weeks, and months go by there will be more information available for the guests.The bands are being used to help consolidate what guests must be responsible and carry around with them when they are hitting the parks and all the attractions. I am sure they are considering all aspects of what can be added to them and by December 2014 it likely will be in place with all its glory. If for some reason gift cards are not included then by all means still have them for the grandchildren to use for spending money. Being a grandparent myself I know that all three of mine would love getting one as a gift to use on their vacation!
