    Hi Moms:)! I'm buying tickets through work because they are discounted, does this mean I won't be able to upgrade to a magic band? If I can upgrade how much will it be? Is it even worth it if it's still in beta mode? Thank you so much!

    Hi Rebecca!

    MagicBands are free of charge and are automatically included when you are staying in a Walt Disney World resort.  You can link your tickets to your My Disney Experience account online or on your smartphone using the My Disney Experience app and they will be linked to your bands as well.  

    If you are not staying in a Walt Disney World resort, you are will be unable to get MagicBands at this time.  

    Personally, I love the MagicBands.  They are really simple to use and very convenient, especially with charging privileges.  It is nice not having to fumble through my wallet to find my room key, ticket and credit cards.
