Hello Kylie! Thanks for asking your questions here on the Disney Parks Moms Panel. I know planning the perfect Walt Disney World vacation can be stressful, so take a deep breath and know everything will turn out just fine!
My daughter is 6 and we have spent plenty of her birthdays visiting the Walt Disney World Resort. I find, especially on birthdays, it is best to take the day nice and easy. Starting the day dining with Mickey Mouse sounds like a perfect start to his birthday. Chef Mickey's, at Disney's Contemporary Resort, is the perfect place to do this! After breakfast, you are within walking distance to the Magic Kingdom, so I suggest heading there and letting your son do some of his favorite things in the Park. For a special birthday treat head over to the
Pirates League and let him enjoy a pirate makeover. This is a popular service so you will need to make reservation if interested. For lunch, my daughter loves eating corn dog nuggets at Casey's Corner located right on Main Street U.S.A. I think this would be a fun birthday lunch and maybe even purchase him a big Mickey Mouse Balloon while you are eating. For dinner, I suggest looking into T-REX: A Prehistoric Family Adventure located in Downtown Disney. This restaurant is a lot of fun for kids, lifelike dinosaurs everywhere. There is even a meteor shower every few minutes. My daughter loves this place and I am sure your son would too. The World of Disney, the largest Disney Store in the world, would be a fun place to go after dinner and let the birthday boy pick out a few gifts to finish off the day.
Be sure to pick up an "It's My Birthday" button for your son at guests services to wear on his special day. You never know what magical surprises could be in store for him! Have a wonderful vacation.
