Hi moms! If I have a one day ticket and decide to upgrade to an annual pass, does it have to include the date in the pass? If the day I attend would normally be a blackout date? I would like to upgrade to a so-cal select pass if that makes a difference.

    Hi there, Tabitha!

I’m so glad to hear you have a Disneyland Resort trip planned and that you’re interested in upgrading your park ticket to an Annual Passport. As a longtime Annual Passholder myself, it’s my favorite way to visit the Happiest Place on Earth as often as possible!

Yes, the amount paid for your theme park ticket can be used as credit toward the purchase of an Annual Passport. Simply visit a Disneyland Resort Main Entrance ticket booth in person on the day your ticket is valid to pay the difference between the theme park ticket and your chosen Annual Passport type. It will be activated the day you upgrade, even if it would normally be a blockout date for your Passport. Please keep in mind that you can purchase the Disney Southern California Select Passport if you reside within Southern California ZIP codes 90000-93599 or Northern Baja California ZIP codes 21000-22999. Proof of residency in the form of a valid government-issued ID (such as a driver’s license or identification card) must be presented.

As soon as you upgrade to an Annual Passport, you’ll be able to take advantage of valuable Passholder benefits available throughout the resort! I hope this information helps and that you enjoy a perfectly pixie-dusted Disneyland Resort vacation, Tabitha. Please write back to me if you’d like clarification or need more planning help!

    Wishing you magic,
