Hi Mom's I was wondering how much tip should I leave for luggage, housekeeping etc. at Disney Resorts staying 14 days... Thanks

    Hi Margaret!

I don't like to carry lots of cash on my Walt Disney World vacations, so it's always a good idea to budget for tips ahead of time.  Typically, the rule of thumb for bell services or porters that will be helping you with your luggage is $1 per a bag, for any particularly heavy or cumbersome bags I would suggest $2.For Mousekeeping (housekeeping) I will typically leave $1 per a person per a day. There are lots of wonderful templates for Mousekeeping envelopes that you can make before your trip, I make these ahead of my trip so I'm not scrambling for tip money on my way out the door each morning.

Other places that you will need to tip is for table-service restaurants, typically 15%-20%, although if your party is 6 or more you will automatically be charge 18% gratuity.  If you plan on taking advantage of any of Disney's spas, you will also typically add a 15%-20% tip for your services as well. Any cast member that has gone out of their way to make your trip extra special also, in my opinion, deserves a tip. The only exception to this is Cast Members within the parks, they are not allowed to accept tips, but feel free to let someone know of your wonderful experience.

I hope this helps, Margaret and please let me know if you need anymore advice or have any questions!

    Happy Planning!
