Hi Moms, I am trying to decide between dinner at The Wave or Kona Cafe. Do you have any advice? Thanks

    Hi Amy:

You've asked a nearly impossible question.  The Wave ... of American Flavors and Kona Cafe are my two favorite amazing "un-hyped" Disney eateries.  I've eaten breakfast and dinner at both restaurants on a number of occasions.

The Wave offers a new take on American food, and I feel really shines at dinner where they can show off their sophisticated but accessible menu, featuring steak, chicken, and sustainable fish.  Every dinner I've eaten at The Wave has gotten better and better, like the restaurant is really coming into its own.

Kona features an American menu with a an Asian zing to it.  My most memorable meals at Kona have been breakfasts, where it features the famous Tonga Toast and wonderful coffee.

The atmosphere at both restaurants differs as well.  Kona has a more open and casual feel to it, where The Wave is a more modern design and has more of a "evening out" atmosphere, but without being too fancy.

While every family has different tastes and preferences, for my family, I would choose Kona Cafe over The Wave for breakfast and The Wave over Kona Cafe for dinner.

Enjoy deciding and enjoy your vacation.
