Hello Jo,
Starting off, I would like to wish your daughter a very happy 18th birthday! What a huge milestone, and better yet, to celebrate this momentous occasion at one of the most magical places, too.
I think a tour is a fantastic gift and I have a few suggestions for you. Since Epcot is her favorite park, might I suggest
The UnDISCOVERed Future World. This walking tour delves into the imagineering behind this innovative park that was the brainchild of Walt Disney himself. It is a 4 hour tour and park admission is required.
If budget is not an issue, I would highly recommend the
Backstage Magic at Magic Kingdom. This immersive 7 hour tour that explores all four of the theme parks and the magic behind the scenes and the day to day operations that make the Walt Disney World Resort such an amazing place. While touring the Magic Kingdom, you will be allowed access into the Utilidors (underground system for cast members). Lunch is included but park admission is required. Keep in mind that there is no photography or videography of any kind allowed in backstage areas.
Last, but certainly not least is a tour that I hope to one day check off my Disney bucket list. That 3 hour tour is
Walt Disney: Marceline to Magic Kingdom. Walt was the mastermind behind all that is pixie-dusted and he began his humble life in a small town. See how he used his past to inspire his amazing future. As with the others, park admission is required.
