Hi Moms, How long exactly is the transfer from the wilderness resort to the magic Kingdom? I have a 6 month old and a 3 year old and am wondering is it worth spending the extra money to stay closer to the MK. Thanks

Hi Tanya! The boat ride to Magic Kingdom is very relaxing and does not take long - perhaps 10 minutes.  However, you do have to factor in the wait time for a boat, which could be up to 15 minutes.  Boat transportation typically has never been an issue for me when I've stayed at the Wilderness Lodge.  However, if you are staying during a peak time, you'll want to factor that in during peak transportation times.  Personally, I would not change resorts based on boat transportation to Magic Kingdom.

That being said, I prefer the monorail resorts - so convenient!  Our family favorite is the Contemporary Resort and a bonus to that location is you can walk to Magic Kingdom on a walking path that would take you about 10 minutes. If I were in your position, I would consider relocating but only if I could find a room at a monorail resort that I feel comfortable paying.  Depending on when you are going, the room rates can be pricey but you may be able to find a special offer.

    Have a wonderful vacation!
