Hi Moms: Going Sept 21 to Oct 1 for parents 60th Anniv.Been to Disney 30+ times, but never went to any "behind the scenes tours" Which would you recom for us? Parents love MK, AK and Epcot. Mom has ECV, but can walk some distances.

Hi Robin! Wow, that sounds like quite the momentous occasion. Please extend my congratulations to your parents! I can't think of a more special way to celebrate than doing one of the special backstage tours at Walt Disney World. There are quite a few of them to choose from, but I'll let you know which ones I would recommend.

Hands down, my favorite is the Disney's Keys to the Kingdom Tour. It is one of the longer tours, but beyond worth it. The time will fly as you will be learning so much rich history and trivia about Walt Disney, the Imagineers and the making of Walt Disney World. Cameras and video equipment is prohibited for the duration of the tour. Participants must be at least 16 years of age to participate in the tour. My next choice is Behind the Seeds at Epcot. This tour is about an hour long and is available to all ages and it explores the plants and agriculture in a more in-depth way than the "Living with the Land" ride. If your parents are into gardening or agriculture, they will love it. Last but not least is Walt Disney: Marceline to Magic Kingdom, which follows events in Walt's life that inspired his vision for this special place. Now, while I have not personally taken this tour, it is on my Disney bucket list, as I am a huge fan of Walt Disney himself. This tour is more geared toward adults and older children.

There is walking in all of these tours, but ECVs may be used during the tours as well. All three tours do require park admission. Reservations can be made by calling (407) WDW-TOUR (939-8687). May your trip be sprinkled with pixie-dust and new memories shared by you all!
