Hello Moms+Dads,LOVE you guys! Thinking of taking cruise over Xmas break. Is it more crowded that week after Xmas, like parks? Is ship still decorated for the holidays, after? Departe 12/26, want holiday exper. Inroom sitting at night so we can explore por

    Hi Gayle,

We love you too - your questions are what make this job so much fun!  It's no secret that the week between Christmas and the New Years holiday can be one of the busiest at the Disney Parks, but the beauty of cruising is that the ships are designed to hold a finite number of passengers for optimal comfort and enjoyment - so regardless of when you sail you can never have an "overcrowded" ship.

Although I am not sure which day specifically the holiday decor will be put away for another year, I can tell you it typically happens rather quickly - so there is a good chance the ship will be back to her original splendor when you set sail.

Disney Cruise Line does not offer in-room babysitting, however the Oceaneer Club and Oceaneer Lab are typically open until at least midnight for children ages 3-10 (sailing on the Disney Magic or Disney Dream).  If sailing on the Disney Wonder these are offered for children ages 3-12.  If your child is under the age of three, babysitting is offered in Flounders Reef Nursery, for a fee.

    Good luck!
