    Hi Moms/Dads!!! I just booked POFQ due to no avail at POR Royal Rooms. My DH and I are suprising DD 6 and DS 9 can you give me any ideas of things to do that are out of the ordinary at POFQ??? My kids like the "special" things such as pin trad

    There are so many really special activities for your son and daughter to enjoy at Port Orleans French Quarter and as a guest of French Quarter, you will also be able to take advantage of activities offered at the adjacent Riverside property.  I have listed a few of my favorite "special" activities below!

    1) Bayou Pirate Adventure:  A special "kids-only" pirate excursion during which young buccaneers will board a special "Pirate Vessel" and follow clues to discover hidden treasures. Two Cast Members accompany each group and lunch is served.  Excursions depart from Riverside at 9:30 AM. Price is $34. per child and reservations may be made by calling (407)WDW-PLAY.

    2) Horse Drawn Carriage Rides: Your little ones will love strolling the "streets" of the Port Orleans resorts in an old fashioned carriage pulled by a beautiful stallion.  The ride takes about 25 minutes and transports guests through the beautiful wooded pathways of Riverside to the lamp-lined streets of French Quarter. ($45 per carriage)

    3) Movie Under the Stars:  Each night you will be able to enjoy a Disney movie on a big screen, outdoors under the stars! At French Quarter, movies are shown at 8:30 PM in Beignet Square.  This is FREE to all resort guests!

    4) Cajun Campfire: Enjoy stories and singsongs aside the banks of the Sassagoula River. Campfire rings are lit at dusk and marshmallows and S'mores kits are available for purchase.  These events are free.

    Pin Trading Tip:  Every day at 5 PM there will be a pin board displayed in the lobby which offers an ultimate trading experience!  Did you know you can also ask to see a pin board or book in the resort gift shop!?
