Hi Moms,Can you please tell me how difficult travel will be between visiting the AKL Resort,The AOA Mermaid Rooms Section and the Coronado Springs Resort. As my family and I are traveling August 2013 but everyone is interested in staying at different resort

    Hi, Sonya!

Having multiple family members staying at different resorts actually isn't as tough as it may seem at first. Not to worry!

When we travel with folks staying at other resorts, we simply make our plans to meet up at our destination, rather than at our resort. For example, we'll meet at a particular attraction inside Magic Kingdom, so if some get to a park earlier than others, they can still enjoy what the park has to offer, rather than wait at the gate. We do the same if eating at a Walt Disney World Resort restaurant, too, simply using transportation from the "home" resort to the nearest park, then taking transportation from that park to the resort restaurant.

Two weeks ago, my son and I needed to get from Disney's Port Orleans Resort-Riverside to Kouzinna, at Disney's Boardwalk area. While we could have taken resort transportation to Epcot, then walked through the park to the International Gateway, then over to the restaurant, it was check-out day, and I knew that this would complicate things. As such, we took a cab, and it cost under $15 for the trip.

In short, this won't be too complicated, as long as you know where you will all be for the day. Make your daily or nightly destination the goal, and each family can get themselves there fairly easily. Should you wish to visit or dine at another family's resort, simply plan your day trip to a park with the stop at the other resort in mind, too. It's easy to use WDW Resort transportation to go from any park to any resort, not to worry. :-)
