    Hi moms! Are the water parks open on rainy days? What if the morning is sunny and later starts to rain? The park closes? Thank you!!!

    Hi Soraya!

    Thank you for sending in your question to the Walt Disney World Moms Panel!

    The parks are open rain or shine.  They have closed when a hurricane was over Orlando, but normal rain won't close the parks, Downtown Disney, etc.  Thunder and lightning do have a significant impact on both water parks, however.

    The rain does usually cut down on the crowds in the parks. I suggest grabbing an umbrella or a poncho and hitting the attractions!  Also, I suggest not visiting Disney's Animal Kingdom on a rainy day as there are not a lot of indoor attractions there.
