    Hi Moms Am staying at Coronado Springs in May. I understand the bar has a dress code after 9.00pm. No T Shirts / shorts. After a long day in the parks it's annoying to have go to my room and change so I can have a beer before bed. Is this correct? Thks

    Hey Alan!  Thanks for visiting us here at the Disney Parks Moms Panel.  Disney's Coronado Springs Resort  is an excellent choice for your vacation.  We've stayed there a number of times and always enjoy it.  
    You have a couple of option on where to purchase your nightly beverage at the resort.  The Laguna Bar is a lakeside lounge that is open from 11am-11pm daily.  They serve signature cocktails, frozen beverages, sangria and margaritas.  You can also grab a beverage pool side at the Siestas Cantina open from 11am-8pm.  They serve a variety of adult beverages and lots of tasty small bite menu items.  The most popular area, and the one I think you are talking about, is the Rix Lounge.  The Rix Lounge is an upscale lounge and nightclub area that hosts a D.J. on the weekends.  The lounge is open from 6pm-12am daily.  On the official page for the Rix Lounge no dress code is mentioned.  However, when I search other popular websites it does read that a dress code is enforced after 9pm.  For men that would include khakis, slacks, dressy jeans and a collared shirt.  Another option is Cafe Rix which is a quick service location at the resort and they sell bottled beer.  If you are wanting to grab one and take back to your room, that's going to be the best place do it.  Cafe Rix is usually open from 6am-12am.

I love all things Walt Disney World.  In fact, since becoming Annual Passholders, my family of 3 is always hopping in the car for a quick trip to visit with Mickey Mouse!  I've been known to make the 8 hour each way drive to Walt Disney World (in one day!) to indulge in a Mickey Waffle or enjoy a sunny day at Disney's Typhoon Lagoon Water Park.  I may have a small family, but we are always up for some BIG fun at the Walt Disney World Resort.   Learn More About Jackie
