Ahoy, Kathy!
I love that three generations are setting sail together - you've definitely made a great choice. A Disney Cruise Line vacation provides family fun for all ages!
First things first, I encourage you to have your son check out the Oceaneer Club and Lab on your first afternoon on the ship. The Youth Clubs are awesome, and provide endless fun activities for the kids. The clubs also just might give you and your mom a chance for some quiet time by the Adult Pool or a Spa visit!
When you stop in Cozumel, there's tons of fun Port Adventures to choose from! We stopped in Cozumel on our last cruise, and we really enjoyed the
Fury Catamaran Sail, Snorkel and Beach Party. We boarded a large catamaran which took us to a gorgeous snorkeling spot, then finished up the adventure with a private beach party. At the beach, my kids had a blast playing in the aqua park - a floating playground with slides and water trampolines! You can purchase lunch on the beach, and they serve delicious Angus burgers that melt in your mouth. A listing of all the Cozumel Port Adventures can be found
here.
Castaway Cay is my favorite stop on any Disney Cruise. You'll find lots of family activities free-of-charge, and there are also fun Port Adventures you can check out
here. We love to rent bicycles for a tour around the beautiful private island. You'll also be provided a delicious BBQ buffet lunch, included in the price of the cruise. Make sure to save room for the all-you-care-to-enjoy soft-serve ice cream!
Happy Planning! Wishing you a most magical vacation on the Disney Wonder - Diane W.
