Hi Sheri! Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel. I'm happy you stopped by to bring us such a good question!
My parents came down to visit me during the holidays and as the good Orlando local and Disney Annual Passholder that I am, I planned some time with them at my happy place! My dad is legally blind and uses a walking stick, which he was able to bring to the park and keep with him on most attractions. I do recall him having to put it down on
Soarin' at Epcot, but other than that one instance, he was able to use it to assist him during his visit.
After reviewing the
Park Rules and Regulations for items not allowed inside the parks, and after having experienced the parks with my dad and his walking stick, I'm confident your mom will not have a problem using her walking stick during your visit.
Another wonderful help for my folks during their visit was being able to set them up with the
Disability Access Service. Both of my parents have some mobility issues and this service was a lifesaver as we navigated the parks with a wheelchair.
I hope this information is helpful and that you have an absolutely magical time with your mom during your visit. For any additional planning tips or questions, please do come back to visit us again soon!
