My mom has trouble walking and will have a rental scooter during our visit.. If we decide to stay late at Disney Springs or Boardwalk and need to call a cab to get back to The Contemporary, is there a local taxi service that could accommodate her scooter??

Hi Sandra!  Many of the guests at Walt Disney World need scooters or wheelchairs to get around and they too want to enjoy all that there is on property without worrying about transportation.

Disney Springs will have buses running until approximately 2am back to all Disney resorts so you won't have an issue with that if you are within that time frame. Always check with your resort for the latest bus schedule so you can be sure you are aware of the last times the bus will run from there.

If you need to call a cab I strongly suggest you use the taxi service recommended by Disney which is the Yellow Cab. You can call their number at 407-422-2222 and request a taxi at your location. At that time please let them know you will need to accommodate a scooter and they will make sure a vehicle is sent that will allow that. This goes for anyone needing car seats or have large strollers. They will be glad to assist but they must know what is needed before sending a taxi your way.

You should not run into any difficulties and can relax and enjoy a late night out on property. If you stop by Jellyrolls on the Boardwalk you just might stay until closing as it is so much fun watching the dueling pianos all night.
