My mom and I have a trip planned for the first weekend of October. We plan to watch the fireworks at the Polynesian on the day of our arrival. Will the water taxi still be running to Magic Kingdom after the fireworks so we can get the bus to our resort?

Hey there Jennifer and welcome back to planDisney. Hanging out with your mom watching either Happily Ever After or Disney's Not-So-Spooky Spectacular sounds awesome and will make some core memories.

Yes, the Walt Disney World Water Transportation Gold Flag Route from Magic Kingdom Park to Disney's Grand Floridian Resort & Spa to Disney's Polynesian Village Resort will run large enough to get you back to Magic Kingdom Park to catch the Walt Disney World Bus Service back to your hotel. Here are the operating hours October 4-11, 2024, in case you want to go back to the beach:

    • October 4 - 7:30 AM -  1:30 AM
    • October 5 - 7:30 AM - 11:30 PM
    • October 6 - 7:30 AM -  1:30 AM
    • October 7 - 7:30 AM - 12:30 PM
    • October 8 - 7:30 AM -  1:30 PM
    • October 9 - 7:30 AM - 12:30 PM
    • October 10 - 7:30 AM - 1:30 PM
    • October 11 - 7:30 AM - 1:30 PM
If water transportation is unavailable for any reason, you can hop on the Walt Disney World Monorail System to get back to Magic Kingdom Park.

Jennifer, have the best time with your mom and get a Dole Whip to enjoy while the pyrotechnics light up the sky. Please feel free to stop by planDisney again for more Disney vacation planning tips.

Enjoy making many Magical Memories with your mom!
