I am a mom of three kids - 11, 8 and 5. This is our third trip to Disney but this time we are staying onsite. My question is, should we purchase the Magic your way dining plan or pay as we go? What is the most economical plan for a family of 5+ grandma.

The Dining plan is great especially if your going to go to Character Meals or Signature Dining Restaurants, then you could exchange two table meals to cover the cost of the Character Meal or Signature Dining Meal.  However, if your family isn't really planning on going to Character Meals, or they just are really light eaters, than it would be better to pay as you go.  This was the first year for us that we were able to benefit mostly because my kids are growing so fast, and it seemed everytime I turned around someone was hungry.  Teenagers, go figure.

If you can work it in, its a great relief, as you can just use your Key to the World card. It's your room key, its just a fancy name.  On your Key to the World card it will have loaded all of your meals, so before you order hand the server your card and they will deduct the meal from your Key to the World card, and give you a receipt to let you know how many meals you have left.
