My mom and I are planning to come to Disney in about a week. We sometimes like having some wine with our meals but can’t drink a whole glass. Is it possible to share a glass of wine like you can with an entree?

Hi Margaret, and welcome back to the Disney Parks Moms Panel! It’s nice to hear from you again. It looks like you and your mom will be visiting Walt Disney World VERY soon, and I’m so excited for you to be in the middle of the holiday magic in just a few sleeps.

Ahhhhhhh…there’s something so wonderful about taking a break for a good meal, a cold drink, and a decadent dessert, and it’s such a nice chance to talk about all the fun we’re having and our upcoming plans. The thought of sharing a glass of wine while connecting and relaxing with your mom sounds just lovely.

Margaret, my husband finishes almost every cocktail I order at Walt Disney World, and I’ve never had a problem sliding my glass his way or having some sips from his drink. In my experience, as long as both Guests are 21 or older, this kind of sharing is usually allowed. My advice is to check with your server, as restaurant policies may vary.

There is so much festive fun to be had around the parks and resorts, and I hope you and your mom have the BEST time together. One of my favorite things to do at this time of year is to tour the resorts to see their breathtaking decorations and taste their unique holiday treats. Don’t miss the gingerbread creations around the resorts – aside from being exquisitely detailed, they small fantastic, and you can often purchase some…and they taste like magic!

Wishing you a merry and magical vacation,
    Robyn
