My mom and I are planning to welcome the new year at Disney World (where else, right?). How do each park celebrate as soon as the clock strike 12? Any suggestion as to which park is the best to do this?

Hi Karen! A few of the special changes or additions to the entertainment at the Theme Parks scheduled for December 31, 2010 are:

Magic Kingdom will show "Fantasy in the Sky" fireworks show at 11:50 pm. There will be a "Tomorrowland New Year's Eve Dinner and Dessert Party" from 6:30 pm - 8:30 pm, prior to the "Holiday Wishes" fireworks show. Cost is $155.99 for ages 10 and over; $76.99 ages 3- 9. There will also be a "Tomorrowland Terrace Dessert Party" at 10:30 pm. Cost is $39.99 for ages 10 and over; $21.99 ages 3 through 9.  Admission to Magic Kingdom theme park is required for these events. Call (407) WDW-DINE (939-3463) to make advance reservations. The park closes at 2:00 am.

At Epcot, a special version of IllumiNations: Reflections of Earth is presented at 7:30 pm and 11:40 pm. The Park closes at 1:00 am.

Disney's Hollywood Studios will present "Lights, Camera, Happy New Year" fireworks show at 11:50 pm. The Park closes at 3:00 am.

Disney's Animal Kingdom Park closes at 8:00 pm.

I would suggest that you attend your favorite Disney Park to enjoy the New Year's Eve festivities. Please keep in mind that schedules are subject to change. I recommend that you check the Times Guide upon your arrival to your Disney Resort hotel and verify entertainment times. Have a Magical Vacation!
