Hi, my mom and I are planning a trip in December. She will be renting an ECV from the park. If we need to leave the park in the afternoon, but want to return that evening will she need to pay for the rental twice?

Welcome to planDisney, Tamara!

If your mother leaves the theme park for a break during the day, she can drop off her Electric Conveyance Vehicle (ECV) at the rental facility located immediately outside the main entrance to Disneyland Park. As long as she holds on to her same-day receipt, she can return later to pick up an ECV for use in the theme parks and Downtown Disney District without having to pay again for a rental.

Guests who wish to drive an ECV rental all the way to their Disneyland Resort Hotel or who may wish to hold on to the ECV for multiple days may consider renting from the Disney Featured Provider instead of from the theme park. Those rentals are allowed to pass in and out of the security zone that encompasses Disneyland Park, Disney California Adventure Park, Downtown Disney District.

December is one of my favorite times to visit the Disneyland Resort. During that time of year, "The Happiest Place on Earth" becomes "The Merriest Place on Earth." I hope you have a magical time during the Holidays at the Disneyland Resort.
