Hi Michelle!
How exciting that your little guy's first Disney World Vacation is on its way! My two boys (ages 5 and 7) recently experienced a "pirate makeover" at the new Pirate League at Magic Kingdom. With the help of some talented Cast Members (disguised as pirates), they left their "land lubber" identities behind and were transformed into pirates! Each received a bandana, pirate make-up, a certificate with their new pirate names and a photo commemorating their experience. Pirate transformations aren't just for boys, or for kids for that matter! A few months ago, Disney Moms Margaret, Jodi, Anna and I received our very own "pirate princess" makeovers and had a blast! If you are looking for another way to make your son's first Disney trip extra magical, you might consider an in-room celebration. I recently surprised my kids with "Mickey's Grand Welcome." They were greeted at our resort room door with a path of Mickey footprints that lead to a number of treats left by the "big cheese" himself. Our package included a huge Mickey plush doll, signed autograph book, tin of krispie treats, Mickey mitts, balloons and a variety of other favors. My kids completely surprised and thoroughly enjoyed their gifts! For more information, packages and pricing, visit

Finally, don't forget to pick up a free, "first visit" pin at Guest Relations at whichever park you visit first. Have your little guy wear it proudly throughout your trip.
Have a great vacation!
