Hi Mom Panel!I am visiting Disney World from Dec 22 to 30 2011 with my boys 6 and 2 and my parents. Can we get schedules ahead to make sure we don't miss anything. Also anyone that has been to the park christmas day I would love hints on special things.

    Hi Amanda,

My family spent Christmas & New Year at Walt Disney World last year and it was absolutely amazing! There is something extra special about visiting during the holidays.

You can check the park hours, extra magic hours and times of parades, some shows and nighttime entertainment right now on the Walt Disney World website.

To see this information, go to the Walt Disney World website and click on "PARKS"at the top of the home page. Select the park that you would like to check eg. Magic Kingdom and the December calendar will be displayed. You can then click onto 22 December which will take you to THIS page.

When you arrive at the parks be sure to pick up a Times Guide which will tell you the times and places that you can meet and greet with Disney characters and see all of the shows, parades & nighttime entertainment.

Last year, we spent Christmas Day itself at Disney's Hollywood Studios which did not seem too crowded. I would suggest that whichever park you choose to visit on Christmas Day that you get there as early as possible as parks have been known to close due to reaching capacity.

Wishing you a magical trip filled with memories which will last a lifetime!
