Hi there, Valerie, and welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel! I’m so glad you stopped by!
I’m pleased to let you know that the
Coco-inspired
Plaza de la Familia is returning to
Disney California Adventure Park this September for
Halloween Time at the Disneyland Resort! Starting September 6, 2019, head over to Paradise Gardens Park for a joyous celebration of family and the spirit of Dia de los Muertos.
Plaza de la Familia features upbeat Mariachi music, entertaining performances, a Tree of Life photo location, a delicious Mexican menu, and a special
The World of Coco exhibit.
Speaking of tasty treats, you won’t want to miss the special event menu at
Paradise Garden Grill, featuring tacos, tamales, and decadent desserts! Or, how about a Mexican hot chocolate or hibiscus-flavored Jamaica slush? Don’t mind if I do!
Movie magic comes to life in the
Coco exhibit, where you’ll find animation images portraying the Land of the Living and Land of the Dead as seen in the popular film. There’s even a 3-dimensional replica of the
ofrenda, or remembrance altar, that Miguel built in honor of Ernesto de la Cruz.
No visit to the
Plaza de la Familia is complete without honoring your own loved ones, too! Stop by the
Arbol de la Vida, or Tree of Life, where you can write special remembrances of loved ones and hang them on the nearby wall of memories.
I always look forward to watching this corner of Paradise Gardens Park transform into a colorful, festive, heartwarming celebration of love and family, and I know you will, too!
Also at Disney California Adventure Park this fall is the all-new
Oogie Boogie Bash – A Disney Halloween Party. You won't want to miss this frightfully-fun evening full of spooky surprises!
Wishing you a day filled with magic and memories at the Happiest Place on Earth!
