Hi Diana,
Let me tell you what I love about each of these resorts!
My family spends a lot of vacations at
The Cabins at Disney's Fort Wilderness Resort. We really like that the cabins have separate sleeping and living areas. We also love the full kitchen and charcoal grill that comes with each cabin. We like to do a lot of cooking at our resort when we are on vacation, and the cabins make this easy. We love how secluded the cabins feel, while still being close to the Magic Kingdom. Around Disney's Fort Wilderness Resort, there is so much to do, including recreation such as archery and bike riding, and the wonderful nightly Chip 'N Dale's Campfire Sing-a-long which features a sing along, meet and greet with Chip and Dale, and then a movie under the stars.
We also love
Disney's Animal Kingdom Lodge. You mention that you are looking at Jambo House, which includes both traditional resort hotel rooms as well as villas.
Disney's Animal Kingdom Villas - Jambo House give you the options of multi-bedroom villas which include kitchens and living areas. Either way, the decor is rich and amazing, and the ability to see exotic animals outside of nearly every window is fabulous. There are so many activities to do, including cultural programs such as African Face Painting to animal programs such as Night Vision Animal Viewing with night vision binoculars. The dining here is superb, including Jiko and Boma, two wonderful restaurants that let you explore tastes of Africa.
I really do not think that you can make a bad decision, Diana. I am limited in the space that I have to answer, but I would love to help you plan more. Please do not hesitate to ask if you have any further questions!
