Hi mom panel. I was reading some other questions and saw something about the value resorts being very busy the 2nd wk of dec. Is this true? Thats where my fam and I will be staying 12/12-12/18 2010. Should we spend a little more to avoid the crowds?

Hi Angie! Indeed the value resorts can be quite busy in early December as the great Pop Warner Super Bowl is played at the ESPN Wide World of Sports complex on Disney property.  This brings in hundreds of young athletes hoping to bring home a victory as well as great memories of a Disney trip.  This also includes Pop Warner Cheer groups there to be in competition with each other so the place is indeed full of young guests.

However, with that said the Pop Warner competition is held from December 3-11 and the cheer groups are from December 6-10 so the week that you will be in Disney falls after this busy time.  That doesn't mean you won't have some crowds as it is getting very popular to spend time in the magical Disney parks for the holidays.  But with all there is to do and see you won't even notice a few extra minutes in line as it is worth a visit!

Your resort might have some left over team crowd but for the most part you should be just fine staying in the value of your choice!
