Mom panel is amazing! I read it everyday! Coming to DW 8/14-20! Have family of 5 with kids ages 4,5&11.R pre-made touring plans worth the hassle or should we sit down as a family & build our own itenarary? We r also traveling with my sis and her fa

Hi Jessica!  This is a dilemma that many families deal with when planning their trip to Walt Disney World. There are many great  touring suggestions out there for you to choose and this is the easiest way to prepare for your trip but it isn't always the best way.

I suggest you sit down with the family and get each member's input as to what they hope to do and see during the vacation. The younger ones won't be able to be as specific but your eleven year old will certainly have strong suggestions.  Your husband will also have a chance to have his voice heard which is just as important. I have found that when the husband doesn't feel comfortable about coming to Disney then the trips become far and few between. It is important that everyone gets a chance to enjoy something special.

Getting everyone involved in the planning will also make the trip more exciting for the family. It becomes their trip and not just yours. Once you have their input then you can put it all together and into a plan that works for your family. You can look at the touring guides for suggestions but fill in the blanks with your own plans. This is a little more work but it is a fun process and when you see the smiles on your family's faces with your results it is worth the effort! Enjoy!
