My mom needs to rent an ECV and is thinking of renting it for the week from any outside source that delivers to Disney in order to guarantee she will have one. Will we have any problems getting it transported with us on the bus, monorail, or water launch?

    Hello, Kim,

Please give your mom all the reassurance she needs that she won't have any trouble.  My mother is in a wheelchair, and she's gone to Walt Disney World with us more than once and never, ever had any difficulty with Disney transportation.

The cast members are well trained and incredibly accommodating to help guests.  My father still talks about how impressed he was with the service my mother received.

I should note that sometimes when water levels vary, water launches may not be able available; however, another form of transportation will take its place. Also, when loading a bus on an ECV, it can be a little tricky to steer it directly onto the ramp.  Your mother way want to practice a bit.  I've also seen, if it is possible for your mom, to step off the ECV and allow someone else in your party to steer it up the ramp onto the bus.

Have a wonderful trip!  Please let us know if we can help again.
