Debbie from NJ Asked Note: This answer was provided prior to the change to planDisney and may still contain references to Disney Parks Moms Panel.

When my mom learned of my upcoming trip she thought it would be great for the family to go next year. For 6 adults (3 rooms) is it better for 1 person to book all 3, or should each group book them seperate? And could they be linked for FP+, or memory maker

    Hi Debbie,

Welcome back to the Disney Parks Moms Panel! Mom of the Year award - it looks like we have a winner!

If one person is paying for all of the rooms, that person could book them all together. If, on the other hand, different members of your party will pay for their rooms separately, then I would suggest that you book them separately. When we have traveled with extended family, each smaller family unit books a room and then we link our My Disney Experience Accounts through the My Family & Friends List in My Disney Experience. So, we can make dining reservations and Fast Pass+ selections together but each smaller family unit is responsible for charges to their particular room. I do have one additional note - if you book three separate rooms, be sure that everyone has their resort hotel confirmation number and theme park tickets linked in My Disney Experience.

The other happy news is that all of you can share Memory Maker. Everyone linked through My Disney Experience should be able to view the photos and videos. When we have purchased Memory Maker while traveling with extended family, I have been the person who downloads all of the photos once we return from our trip. On one trip, my cousin and I even shared the cost of Memory Maker. We were both on a budget, so being able to share it was definitely a lifesaver!

Debbie, since you are planning to book three separate rooms, I suggest that you request adjoining rooms when making your reservation. Although they may be unable to provide adjoining rooms when you arrive, for us, we are just happy if we are in the same building when traveling with extended family or friends. Last thought - be sure to celebrate your mom's Mom of the Year award while on vacation - it might not come with money but I am sure it comes with lots of love!

Magic, memories and Minnie Mouse hugs,
