    Hello, my Mom will be joining us on our WDW family vacation this October. My Mom does have difficulty walking for long periods of time. Is there a scooter or anything we can reserve in advance? If so, how much will it cost? Thank you for your help!

    Welcome back to the Disney Parks Moms Panel and thank you for asking us another question!

    Electric Convenience Vehicles (ECVs) can be rented from all Walt Disney World Theme Parks, Water Parks and Disney Springs. From what I understand, the cost to rent an ECV is $50/day, with a deposit (the amount varies depending on where you rented the vehicle). 

    One quick thing to note: ECVs can’t be transferred from one location to another. Whenever I’ve travelled with people with reduced mobility, I’ve found that the ECVs were most useful once we left the Parks after a long day of touring. 

    This is why we’ve usually used a Disney Featured Provider for the rental of an ECV for the duration of our  stay in Walt Disney World Resort. It’s an extremely convenient (and often, cost effective) way to ensure your mother’s comfort and mobility, throughout your vacation Plus, most of these rental companies can deliver your vehicle(s) directly to your hotel. My friends have rented from ScooterBug and Buena Vista Scooter Rentals and they were both satisfied with their rentals.
