My mom is a Florida resident and she is buying us tickets to the parks does she have to be with us since she is a Florida resident?

    Hiya Maria,

Welcome to planDisney! If you ask me, there is no better gift than a vacation to Walt Disney World. How nice that your mother wants to give you theme park tickets so you can enjoy some magic!

Unfortunately, Maria, all Guests 18 and older must have a valid proof of Florida residency to use and activate Florida resident tickets. So, even if your mother is a Florida resident, you would still need to show your own form of Florida residency for activation and use of the theme park tickets. If your mother is buying you non-Florida resident tickets, she should not need to be present to activate your tickets. However, I recommend reaching out to a Cast Member to confirm based on your specific ticket type.

I hope this was helpful, Maria. Before I let you go, don’t forget to check out EPCOT International Flower and Garden Festival during your visit. The food is fantastic, and nothing says spring like the incredible topiaries. I am counting down the days until I get to attend next month!

    Happy Planning!
