Hi Aviva!
I just returned from a "relaxing" grown up trip to Disney. I ran the Tower of Terror 10-Miler, stayed in Hollywood Studios until 4 a.m. afterwards, went to Epcot for lunch a few hours later and then onto Mickey's Not-So-Scary Halloween Party (MNSSHP) until after midnight - ha! I needed a vacation after those 48 hours.
Mickey's Not-So-Scary Halloween Party is my favorite special event at the Magic Kingdom! I absolutely love seeing all of the great Halloween decorations. A lot of adults (many without kids) dress up for this event. We saw some AMAZING costumes this year! One group dressed up as the whole gang from Mario Kart (they even made their own karts). We saw another group from Wreck-It Ralph including Ralph, Vanellope Von Schweetz, Fix-It Felix and Turbo (all adults). My favorite had to be Mary Poppins and Bert dressed as they were in scene on the horses and I saw them later than evening on Prince Charming Regal Carrousel. PERFECT!
Some Guests will really get into the spirit and go all out. Others will just wear a festive shirt and others nothing Halloween related at all. Do you have to dress up? No, but its so much fun. You'll be boarding rides so keep that in mind when selecting costumes & wear comfortable shoes.
Please feel free to visit with all of your planning questions. We'll be hEAR for you up until you embark on your pixie dusted trail!
Wishing you minnie magical spooktacular memories :-) Allison V.
